The concept of a student council body at Southside Co-Op was created out of a desire to provide leadership experience for homeschooled students in an academic setting that would reach beyond our walls and into the surrounding community. Southside student council was formed in September of 2009 through democratic election and volunteer application process. The council consists of a president, vice-president, treasurer, secretary, and several student representatives. Elections are held annually in September. With a goal to serve the student body and community, the council organizes fund raisers, service projects, and student activities.
